The Olympus CV-165 video processor processes the video signal from compatible video-endoscopes to allow direct observation of the internal structures of the digestive tract during an examination. It does not control lighting or handle the endoscope: its role is limited to image processing.
It fits into a digestive endoscopy column, alongside a light source, a medical monitor, and the corresponding endoscopes.
