OLYMPUS Olympus CV-190 Plus Video Processor (Enhanced Full HD)

OLYMPUS

Olympus CV-190 Plus Video Processor (Enhanced Full HD)

The CV-190 PLUS is Olympus's EVIS EXERA III video system center. It pairs NBI imaging and dual focus with a one-touch waterproof connector, HDTV output, and compatibility across four generations of GI/BF endoscopes.

CV-190 PLUS: EVIS EXERA III Video System Center

The CV-190 PLUS is Olympus's video processor for the EVIS EXERA III endoscopy platform. It processes video from GI and BF endoscopes and drives the system's imaging, documentation, and connectivity functions.

Imaging

The CV-190 PLUS supports Narrow Band Imaging (NBI) with EVIS EXERA III 190 Series scopes, offering twice the viewable distance of EVIS EXERA II 180 Series scopes and increased contrast between blood vessels and mucosa. The unit also operates dual focus with HQ scopes, adjusting the view for close-up and distant observation, and includes updated image processing for color reproduction, image noise, and halation.

  • Automatic gain control (AGC) for low-light conditions
  • Contrast modes: Normal, High, Low
  • Iris modes: Auto, Peak, Average
  • Structural and edge image enhancement, switchable across 3 levels
  • Freeze and pre-freeze functions, with pre-freeze selecting the sharpest image from a set time window

Connectivity

A waterproof one-touch connector links the endoscope to the light source without a separate scope cable. The unit outputs in 16:9 and 16:10 for HDTV monitors, and supports analog (RGB, YPbPr, VBS composite, Y/C), HD-SDI, SD-SDI, DVI, and DV output. Link connections to peripheral devices reduce cabling and increase transmission speed, and the unit can control compatible monitors, DVRs, video printers, and image filing systems.

Compatibility

The CV-190 PLUS works with GI and BF endoscopes from the EVIS 100/130/140/150 Series, EVIS EXERA 160/145 Series, EVIS EXERA II 180/165 Series, EVIS EXERA III 190/185 Series, and OPTERA 170 Series.

Documentation and memory

The unit displays patient data (ID, name, sex, age, date of birth, recording time and stopwatch, comments) and can register up to 50 patients in advance. It records to MAJ-1925 portable memory in TIFF or JPEG format, holds up to 20 user settings, and retains selected settings after power-off; memorized settings are backed up by a lithium battery rated for 5 years.
