The GIF Type 160 is a gastrointestinal videoscope from Olympus's EVIS EXERA line, designed for routine upper digestive tract examinations. Its 8.6 mm insertion tube and 2.8 mm instrument channel are meant to keep the scope easy to handle without sacrificing image quality or endo-therapy access.

  • 140° field of view for a wider view of the examination site
  • 0° forward viewing direction, with a depth of field from 3 to 100 mm
  • 4-way angulation: 210° up, 90° down, 100° right, 100° left, for full coverage of the upper digestive tract
  • 8.6 mm outer diameter at both the distal end and the insertion tube
  • 2.8 mm instrument channel, with the endo-therapy accessory exit positioned 3 mm from the distal end and within the field of view
  • Working length of 1030 mm and total length of 1345 mm
  • Ergonomic grip with redesigned, easy-to-reach knobs and user-selectable switches
  • Scope ID function that stores each scope's information and shows it on the monitor, for endoscopy suite management
