Olympus 140 CV Endoscopy System

The Olympus 140 CV Endoscopy System is a versatile video endoscopy solution designed to support routine gastrointestinal and other endoscopic procedures. The system combines the CV-140 video processor with a xenon light source, 140 Series video endoscopes, a high-resolution monitor and an endoscopy cart.

CV-140 Video Processor

The CV-140 processor provides image processing and control functions designed to facilitate efficient endoscopic examinations.

• Automatic Gain Control (AGC): Electrically amplifies the image when insufficient light reaches the distal end of the endoscope.
• Iris Mode Selection: Allows the measurement area to be selected according to the anatomical region being observed. AVE mode is suitable for normal observation, while Peak mode is useful when focusing on a small, bright area.
• Freeze Function: Displays a stationary endoscopic image using the endoscope switch, keyboard or OVC switch.
• Video Signal Output: Supports VBS composite, Y/C and RGB outputs, with simultaneous output available.

Image and System Settings

• Selected settings are retained after the system is switched off.
• Stored settings include color, image enhancement and white balance.
• The system provides controls for adjusting image display according to examination requirements.

Peripheral Equipment Control

The CV-140 can remotely control selected ancillary equipment, helping streamline the endoscopy workflow.

Pre-procedural patient information for up to 40 patients can be entered, including ID number, name, sex, age and date of birth.

Image Display Functions

• Image Source Selection: Allows the operator to select the displayed image from the endoscope or video printer.
• Subscreen: Displays the real-time image on an inset screen while the main image is frozen.
• Screen Central Mode: When used with compatible EVIS-100, EVIS-130 or OVC-100 equipment, the endoscopic image can be centered using the SHIFT SCREEN key.
